Your Comfort Zone
Have you found yourself in your comfort zone? If so, is this a good place to be?
If you haven't read The Comfort Zone by Paul Lemberg, you may want to go back and read it now.
Welcome back! What did you think?
Paul states that "in the end, the only thing that really makes a difference is action. Whether you need a shift in what you do or a shift in who you are, either way you need to take action for something to happen. And you may not be used to action - you may have lost the habit. "
So if you've found yourself in your comfort zone, you may want to begin thinking about what needs to change; for your business, for your industy, for you.
Once you have decided what it is that needs to change you must take ACTION.
Our inclination towards our "comfort zone" is directly related to our fear of the unknown. The only way to break this habit is to realize why this fear exists and how to change our perception of change itself.
Most people don't like change, and with good reason. What if it doesn't work out? What if I don't fit in? What if I get stuck in my "un-comfortable zone?"
We tend to only see the negatives in these situations because we are already comfortable where we are. Why ruin a good thing, right?
Try asking yourself:
What if it does work out?
What if I fit in perfectly?
What if I succeed beyond measure?
Now that you have turned your fears into curiosity, figure out how you can take action and step outside of your "comfort zone."
That wasn't that bad now was it?
